Cookie Policy

Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser; local storage is a similar space the browser gives a site. zohoor.ae uses only the items listed below, all of them to make the site work or to remember a choice you made. We do not use advertising cookies, analytics trackers or social media pixels, and we do not need a cookie banner for the items below because they are strictly necessary or set only when you ask for the feature.

1Cookies set by zohoor.ae

1.1"locale": the language you chose (English or Arabic). Lasts one year.

1.2"city": the emirate you chose for delivery, so pages show shops that deliver there. Lasts one year.

1.3"loc": your approximate location (latitude and longitude rounded to about 100 metres), set only after you press the button that asks the browser for your location, so pages can show shops near you. "loc_ask" remembers that we asked, so we do not ask again. Both last up to one year; you can clear them in your browser at any time.

2Local storage

2.1"fs.session": your sign-in token and basic profile after you sign in, so you stay signed in on this browser. Removed when you sign out.

2.2"fs.cart": the items in your bag before checkout.

2.3"fs.studio" and "fs.studio.saved": your Zohoor Studio design in progress and the link to a design you saved, so you do not lose them if you close the page.

2.4"zai.web.<id>": the id of your current conversation with the Zohoor assistant, so it can continue where you left it.

3Third-party cookies

3.1Stripe: on the payment page and the add-card form, Stripe sets its own cookies (for example "__stripe_mid" and "__stripe_sid") to prevent fraud and make the payment work. They are governed by Stripe's cookie policy and are set only on pages where a payment form is shown.

3.2Google Fonts: the website loads its typefaces from Google. Google does not set cookies for this, but receives your IP address with the request.

3.3Cloudflare, where enabled in front of the website, may set a security cookie ("__cf_bm") to tell browsers from bots. It is strictly necessary and lasts 30 minutes.

4The Zohoor apps

4.1The customer and partner apps keep your sign-in, bag, saved items and settings in the app's own storage on your device, not in cookies. The customer app uses the camera only if you choose to scan a card into the payment form, and can save pictures of your Studio designs to your photos if you ask. The partner app uses the camera and photo library to add product and order photos. Neither app uses advertising identifiers or tracking.

5Your choices

5.1You can delete cookies and local storage in your browser settings at any time; the site keeps working, but you will be signed out and your bag and preferences will be forgotten. Location is only ever requested after you press the button, and your browser lets you revoke the permission.

5.2If we add a cookie in future that is not strictly necessary, we will update this policy and ask for your consent first.
